Using the Hixpay platform, your employer pays your monthly premium according to your carrier’s contract. Your share of this payment is deducted from your paycheck. Contracts are month-to-month, with a 30-day grace period for payment before cancellation occurs. We make sure your contract premium is paid on time every single month. Note that when a contract goes unpaid past the grace period, it is simply cancelled by the carrier – it does not affect your credit rating and contract cancellations are never reported to credit agencies.
That said, because you own your plan, many carriers automatically generate a bill early in the month that is sent to you directly. These reminder letters can be confusing and inaccurate, often stating that the premium payment has not been received because the letter may be issued before the carrier has posted your payment. Once you have set up your online account with your carrier, you can verify that your premium payment is paid, typically mid-month, well within the grace period.
